JACOB TAMME’S WIFE BURNS HIM WHILE INJURED, ASKS WHY HE CAN’T GET OPEN LIKE JASON WITTEN
Atlanta Falcons tight end Jacob Tamme underwent season-ending shoulder surgery on Nov. 18 and is beginning his recovery process, according to Rotoworld.com. As if not being able to produce for your team isn’t hard enough already, Tamme’s wife effectively kicked her husband while he was down on Thanksgiving.
The Atlanta Falcons tight end tweeted that his spouse Allison Tamme asked why he couldn’t get as open as one of his NFL counterparts, Jason Witten.
Someone might want to inform Mrs. Tamme that the Dallas Cowboys veteran has been one of the better tight ends in the league over the last 13 years with 11,000-plus receiving yards and 62 touchdowns. Not many players in that position have produced that well with that kind of longevity.
Making it as a starting tight end in the National Football League is no easy task. Being an elite tight end is an even taller order in today’s NFL when the standard bearers are Rob Gronkowski and Jimmy Graham, who are primary weapons for the passing game in their respective offenses.
Nonetheless, I tip my hat to Mrs. Tamme. That was a good burn.
