Wait, Did James Harrison Sustain A Head Injury From A Teammate Slapping His Head?

The ol’ smack on the helmet. It’s football’s unofficial high-five. It’s supposed to be a congratulatory. It’s supposed to NOT send your teammate to the sideline for a concussion exam. But the NFL is filled with some of the strongest human beings on the planet, who may or may not know their own strength.

Enter defensive end Stephon Tuitt: the first professional athlete to ever stun someone with a friendly gesture.

I’m sure James Harrison really appreciated the open-handed roundhouse slap to the head after recording his third sack of the season on Thursday night. Thanks Stephon! I can’t imagine what you would’ve done had Harrison forced a fumble and returned it for a score. Flying knee drop? Hurricanrana? Maybe you carry a small taser for special moments?
